Louisa Avgita is an art historian and critic. She currently lives in Thessaloniki, Greece. She is a doctoral candidate at the Department of Cultural Policy and Management, City University, London. The topic of her thesis is the analysis of the concept of the Balkans as structured in contemporary visual art exhibitions. She has worked as a curator in London and in Greece and was the coordinator of the series of events ‘Art Under Construction: the Balkans in Context’.
