Call for Papers for Global TRACES conference, due 19 Feb. 2018
This workshop will explore new transnational and multi-sensorial approaches to studying sedition, with special focus on publications banned for seditious intent in colonial India: nationalist texts intended for a mass audience during a period of low literacy levels, which were often multimedia in format (meant to be sung, orated or seen).
Third Text is delighted to announce its collaboration with Bluecoat, Liverpool, to stage a one-day symposium marking the 70th anniversary of the independence of India and Pakistan from British rule.

The Editorial Team of Third Text has called for an open and independent review of the organization that governs the journal. This has been approved by the new chair of trustees of Black Umbrella Tony Panayiatou.
We are issuing an invitation to former members of the Editorial Board and Advisory Council and associated editors (click below) to engage in the review process and be involved in the journal’s future.
