Ilana Salama Ortar is an artist and a doctoral candidate at Roehampton University, Surrey. She has been working on projects about the Cairn Border, the latest of which will be exhibited at the Contemporary Art Museum in Ashdod, Israel. Her work has been shown in the Israel Museum, Jerusalem (1994), Museums of Contemporary Art, Marseilles (1998) and the Lyon Biennale (2003). Her publications include The Camp of the Jews, Uprooting, Refugeeism and Immigration, which is also documentary film.
